Driver-focused navigation for Ankara's municipal bus operations
Provides real-time route tracking, stop sequences, and integration with the central fleet system to guide drivers during shifts. EGO Rota, produced by Ankara Büyükşehir Belediyesi EGO Genel Müdürlüğü, targets the municipal public transport workforce and operates as an in-vehicle navigation and operational assistant. Key functions include visual route guidance, automatic updates for temporary diversions, and detailed stop information. The app fits professional bus drivers who must follow assigned lines and maintain schedule adherence within Ankara's transit network.
Built specifically for municipal drivers and daily operations
Designed for driver workflows, the app connects assigned route data and stop sequences to a mobile display so drivers can follow their line during service. It integrates with the developer's central fleet management system, which supplies authorized route assignments, and requires driver credentials to access operational data. That focus places the app in the vehicle-control layer rather than in passenger-facing transit tools.
Route tracking that reports position and stop order in real time
Real-time navigation provides continuous route awareness, showing the current line and the next stops in sequence. The app applies automatic updates for route changes or temporary diversions, which helps maintain route accuracy during service variations. The real-time model rests on municipal data feeds rather than crowd-sourced inputs, so the displayed stop list and sequence reflect official transit records.
Runs on fleet mobile devices and links to the central system
Optimized for Android handsets and tablets used in EGO vehicles, the app operates on standard mobile hardware carried by drivers. The connection model is fleet-oriented: devices authenticate with driver credentials and exchange data with the central management system. That setup removes the need for device modification and keeps operational data aligned with municipal control systems.
Intended scope, limits, and operational responsibilities
Targeted for authorized staff, the app is not for passenger use and depends on municipal account access. It works as an operational aid within the fleet context and does not substitute for personal navigation apps. Users are responsible for ensuring their use complies with applicable platform rules and local regulations when operating the vehicle and the app during service.
Practical municipal tool for drivers, effective within its authorized role
The app serves as a focused operational instrument for Ankara's bus drivers who need official route guidance tied to the fleet management system. Its reliance on authenticated access and municipal data keeps operations consistent, but the design intentionally restricts use to authorized staff. For municipal drivers requiring an in-vehicle route assistant that reflects official assignments, the app performs its role effectively within that controlled environment.
